Check in, sign the ASL waiver, hit the scales. Move up a bracket if you need to - never down.

First match
Brackets and 1v1 matchups run across the afternoon on a 4.5m fight zone with ASL officials, desk and cameras.

Finals under lights
The bracket finals run as the sun goes down. Belts, cash and trophies on the podium.
Food is on the house
Chicken wings and the like, free for everyone.
Bring a chair
It's outdoors in the car park. BYO chair - there are some on hand but not enough for everyone.
ASL insurance and officials
Every competitor signs the ASL waiver at check-in. Medic on site. Referee decisions are final.
Rain plan
Call made Thursday 6pm - onto the gym mats or pushed a week. Everyone entered is told directly.
Who can enter: Gracie Barra members. Central Coast schools get priority - if a bracket oversubscribes, Coast members keep their place and anyone else is refunded in full. Spectators are open to everyone.

Standard entries close Monday 2 November at 11:59pm so the brackets can be set. Late entries are taken until Thursday 5 November for an extra $10. Nothing on the day.
Adults $25 flat for all their matches. Kids and teens $20, and a second sibling in the same order $10. Coaches and black belts enter free. Spectators $5 each or $10 for a family (two adults plus kids); under 12s and every competitor's +1 are free. Prices include GST and you get a tax invoice by email.
Two elimination brackets - Under 85kg and Over 85kg - open to all belts, 18+. Each bracket is fighting for a championship belt, $500 cash and a trophy. Not a bracket person? Put your name in for a 1v1 matchup instead (or as well).
Tick "1v1 matchup" when you enter and tell us who you want, or leave it to us. Once entries close we pair people up by weight, belt and age - under-18s are matched this way too. We confirm your matchup before the day.
Yes, on the day from 2:00pm. Declare your weight honestly when you enter - you can move up a bracket at weigh-in, never down.
Every competitor signs the ASL waiver on the day at check-in, so the event runs under ASL insurance. Under-18s need a parent or guardian with them to sign.
The call is made Thursday 6pm. If the weather turns we move onto the gym mats or push the event a week - everyone entered gets told directly.
No refunds, but if your plans change your entry transfers free to the next event. The only exception is the Coast-priority rule above, where anyone displaced is refunded in full. We also need a minimum of 40 paid entries by the cutoff - if we're short, the date moves and everyone is told.
